Now, we all know cyber bullying is not a good thing to do. But, have you ever thought about how cyber bullying affects the person it’s happening to?
Cyber bullying is just an awful thing to do. Don’t even think about doing it. But even if you do think about trying it, think about how it will affect others! Then, you will definitely decide it is not a good idea. Some people get psychological, physical, and emotional stress due to being cyberbullied. Some have even committed suicide because they were being cyberbullied! But before we go TOO deep into this, the definition of cyberbullying. It says it in the title. It is being bullied online. Now, you would think, well, just get off the computer! However, it is not that easy. Cyber bullying could happen just through texting or calling! Also, some people could just be doing homework and get an online message from a cyber bully. Another thing is that it is hard to discover who the bully is sometimes because the bully could use a false identity. Or, the bully could even be your BFF! But, back to the effects of cyber bullying. The main cause of the cases of suicide caused by cyber bullying is getting depressed. The person being cyber bullied thinks that they have no more friends and that no one would care if they were gone. However, many real life people still care. That’s another thing. The person being cyber bullied focuses on what is happening on the computer instead of what’s happening in the real world. They don’t tell anyone because they don’t think a person in the real world could help them with something that is going on in the computer world. But it can help! If you are ever getting cyber bullied, tell an adult! So, now that you know the effects of cyber bullying, no one should want to be a cyber bully.
